While there are many budding publishers hopping on the proverbial band wagon in ultra-sensual romance, Venus Press Publishing comes out of the industry chute with a following that had them selling books even before the official announcement went out. Website hits continue to be consistently high in the few short days after their launch, promising certain success to an idea born of two Romantic Time 4.5 star Top Pick recipients. Both women hold the prestigious honor of receiving nomination for the RT Reviewers Choice award in their writing, with one winning the auspicious title, and the other in the running for 2005.
Though the publisher is new in terms of publishing quality "turn-up-the-heat" ultra-sensual books, few of their authors are new to writing award-winning steam-infused books. Readers will recognize several of the names already proven successful in sensual writing.
Fresh and innovative, with the primary goal to satisfy a broad spectrum of readers' tastes, the company has designed heat levels. All quick stories, short stories, novellas, category-length, and longer length novels are clearly rated for the readers' convenience on the website.
Explanation of heat levels (Cupid, Aphrodite, and Hephestus) can be found with a full set of explicit submission guidelines, FAQ's, and other business information on the website. Electronic submissions are accepted; however the publisher requires excellence in manuscript quality.
On the horizon, a new line, SONS OF ZEUS, is in the works, with some of the industry's top cover models to embellish its covers. Tapping into history and fictionalizing on the already torrid legends of the gods of mythology brings a unique and titillating twist to the alpha heroes of old, and the equally strong women they seduced. Previews of upcoming SONS OF ZEUS novels can be seen at www.sonsofzeus.com
Though the premise of "spicey" fiction is as old as time itself, Venus Press hopes to add a fresh new aspect of quality and variety for readers by publishing only exceptional work from quality authors. www.venuspress.com
