This has been absolutely proven during the orgy of giving during the Tsunami crisis. But where next from here? Is the future purely driven by economics or should it be also dependent on what we want and our skills & talent to turn our want and desire into reality.

The revolution that is life coaching has already commenced in the United States and in a lesser extent in the UK but somewhat more diffused in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Asia) and with little or no traction in Australia. Is life coaching another type of future not dictated by economics but by living simply for the moment but with structure and framework around the moment? It is probably that and more, much more.

But to start with what can be done to improve the penetration of life coaching in Australia? Is this a desirable thing generally? It is desirable if we think it is another solution to our day to day worries but there is a continuum to this, the economy and our place in it being the least important of all and the universe and our place in it the most important of all.

When the economy drives so much cultural and other iconic behaviour it is difficult to make a rational decision about your personal future without it. The capability for change in linked inextricably with the ability to fund the movement for change. But there is change you can make that is free.

You can eat less, you can exercise more and consume less alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs. This will build the platform for change and is the only basis for moving forward. There is no point building carrier based aircraft without also building an aircraft carrier. Fundamental change in your situation and position, in your wealth and property, in your relationships, in your family and future require no less.

The crux of the message is that you will either have change forced upon you or you can go out and create your own version of change before life's version or somebody else's version is forced upon you. There will be time enough for the latter.

The very best learn from the best hence learn from the best life coaches out there both in the content of life coaching approaches and also in terms of strategies for business development for whatever transformation is envisaged both during and after the process of change.
