FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 1, 2005 -- Just as Harry Potter has been a great contribution by JK Rowlings, Mario S. Fedele’s offering of “Stories for a Stormy Night” is a welcome addition to the literary field and should be given due notice. The book consists of two novellas including, “The Fear-o-Lots” and “A Sickness by Any Other Name”. It is available for purchase at numerous online stores.
(ISBN: 1-4137-4744-2)

The book is addressed to young adults and has received quite favorable reviews. Donna Laird writes, “In ‘Stories For A Stormy Night’, Mario S. Fedele has written two great stories to read on a dark night, curled up on the sofa with hot chocolate and a blanket to cover your head at times. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more of this author’s work.” Another comment comes from Vicky Stowers, “I had a great time reading ‘Stories for a Stormy Night’. What an imagination this author has!” Along the same lines, Pat Shanahan indicates, “Mr. Fedele certainly has a talent for crafting words into mental images.” And LaDonna B Hawkins aptly adds, “This author’s work is both original and intriguing.”

The book consists of two delightful tales. In the first story, “The Fear-o-Lots”, one meets a most unlikely group of heroes who must confront an onslaught of fear-provoking characters. These include the Hags and their Drag-o-Not, Og and his Ogites, and the dreaded Worg. Faced with such insurmountable obstacles, it appears that the heroes are doomed to certain failure. Or are they?

In the next story, “A Sickness by Any Other Name”, the ever-fascinating folklore of vampires is revisited. A new twist, however, is added whereby the bloodthirsty night creature, whose name is Lenny, bites a victim stricken with AIDS. This plays havoc on his emotional system, and he careens out of control. Does he have the wherewithal for recovery, or will he forever languish in his dire condition?

In the fashion of JK Rowlings, Mario S. Fedele’s stories are written with such clarity and imagination they are certain to engage the young reader. The fact that the action is fast-paced also contributes greatly to that end. Furthermore, filled with fresh ideas and novel situations, the young reader is sure to remain riveted to every page.

Mario S. Fedele may be new to the field, but his unique style and gifted use of words certainly warrants some serious attention.
