Lake Park, FL - (Feb. 1, 2005) The Lake Park Historical Society is pleased to announce that their 4th Annual Historic Homes Tour has been set for Sunday, March 6, 2005 from 1:00pm- 4:00pm. This year's tour - entitled "Kelsey City Historic Homes and Gardens Spring Tour" - will feature a ride aboard an old fashioned trolley that will visit select historic homes and gardens that will be open for the public's viewing.
Other highlights of the afternoon will include an hors d'oeuvres and coffee reception at the Historic Evergreen House with musical entertainment featuring local artists, "The Tucker Brothers". The LPHS archival committee will also present a digital presentation at Lake Park Town Hall featuring photographs of the early history of Kelsey City.
The LPHS will also be selling souvenirs, gift items, and autographed copies of Dorothy Gooding's book, Tucked Between the Pages of Time, A History of Lake Park and Environs. Door prizes will also be awarded at the end of the event.
All activities for the Sunday, March 6th event will begin and end (rain or shine) at Lake Park Town Hall, located at 535 Park Avenue in Lake Park.
Special advanced priced tickets are available to the public for $10.00, or will be available at the door for $15.00. LPHS Member tickets are $8.00. Advance tickets are available now and may be purchased by calling the LPHS's board member Joan Knapp at (561) 842-3810. VISA, Master Card, American Express and Discover will be accepted with Will Call pick-ups available.
The LPHS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded for the purpose of promoting local historical preservation and education. Gatherings are held on the 4th Monday of every month at 7 PM at the Historic Evergreen House located in beautiful Kelsey Park on US HWY 1 (Federal Hwy) in Lake Park.
