ICELAND FASHION WEEK
Soundtrack Collections 2005
Every Summer, about 30 fashion designers from fourteen countries present their new ready-to-wear collections at the Iceland Fashion Week, in Iceland. Organised by the model agency Icelandic Models, the event allows notably new fashion brands to present their collections to fashion and TV journalists, in a unique setting: an extensive, multi-designer fashion show, which takes place under the midnight sun (the sun never sets completely in Iceland in the summer) and each year in exotic locations, like a glacier, a volcanic desert with black sand, or a geothermic power plant. The sound of the fashion show for the 2005 collections is an energetic and harmonic mix of electronic pop and nu-jazz lounge, coming from nine countries.
Jetbeach: Fashion Soundtrack Productions produces fashion soundtracks and fashion show music compilations, for international fashion weeks or major fashion brands. CDs are published in cooperation with international record labels. Compilations are also distributed as digital downloads and ringtones.
