February 17, 2005 (Press Release) --
Sunday spectators crowded the Tampa Theater for the 47th Ebony Fashion Fair Show. The theme for the show this year was "Living It Up". The fashion show consisted of eight scenes. The ooh's and aah's from the crowd proved that the styles modeled from the Color Contrast, Ruffled Up, All Suited Up, and Party Fest scenes were favorable. The vibrant colors, exquisite designs, and incredible creativity and artistry of the designers kept the audience applauding. A mixture of sultry music and beautiful models wearing the best in classic high-end fashions to casual and trendy styles made the show a hit.
Immaculate designs from renowned designers like Roberto Cavalli, Verducci, Bill Blass, Oscar de la Renta, Issey Miyake, Nina Ricci, Valentino, Givenchy, and British designer Ronit Zilkha were the more exuberant styles. The majority of fashions displayed were dazzling and fabulously fancy right off the runways of Milan, Paris, and New York. The stylish capes, vests, and gorgeous fox furs and Ostrich feather creations of butterscotch, tan, deep brown, and other cooled-down earth tones proved in for the Fall and Winter seasons. Pastels are out and electrifying colors like red and yellow are in for the Summer and Spring seasons. The glitz and glamor of the show prevailed during the evening wear scenes. Suedes, silk, sheer, and satin fabric fashions were among the lavish styles that were showcased.
Dressing for an elegant gala affair or a regular night on the town, the Ebony Fashion Fair Show covered great fashions for every occasion. The array of unique designs proved that extravagant/over-the-top styles and accessories including brooches are in this year. Your fashion represents who you are and what mood you're in, so be visually exciting and Live it Up a little. The Ebony Fashion Show is supported by the Tampa-Urban League Guild.
