The Miami Awards celebrate local talent and businesses

The 2nd Annual Miami Awards was held Wednesday November 24th at the Players Club in Downtown Miami. The show was hosted by DiDi Sky, Fay Carmona, comedian Larry Dogg, and Mun2's Frankie Needles. Miami based record labels, DJ's, radio stations and entertainment organizations were awarded for their tremendous efforts given throughout Dade County and abroad.
Cuban rapper Pitbull and WEDR's DJ Khaled were the biggest winners of the evening. Pitbull won for best male artist of the year and Terror Squad's DJ Khaled won for DJ of the year. Poe Boy Entertainment won the best independent label award, and the Lifetime Achievement award was given to Luke.
Following the award show, Khaled and friends headed over to the Temple, located inside Club Mansion on South Beach. Fabulous, Jadakiss, Trick Daddy, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, and Benzino performed.
The Miami Awards official after party went down at the Oxygen Lounge in Coconut Grove. Pitbull, Jacki-O, Luke, Rick Ross and Dirt Bag came through.
"It was something that needed to be done, there was so much love in the city tonight" said Marvin Bash, CEO of Get Rich Entertainment.
