http://www.qkiz.com/cartoon-solitaire/hot-disney.html Mickey Mouse is arguably the most famous of the Disney cartoon characters. Making his debut in "Steamboat Willie" at the Colony Theatre in New York City on November 18, 1928, Mickey went on to star in over 120 different cartoons. He also starred in "The Mickey Mouse Club" television show of the 1950s.
Mickey currently holds the esteemed title of Chief Greeter at the Disney theme parks. In this role Mickey has greeted kings and presidents, prime ministers and princes, sports stars, film stars, TV stars and millions of just plain folks.
Disney Imagineers and animators have hid countless Mickey's throughout the Disney theme parks.
Pooh Bear knows what he wants when he's a little "rumbly in his tumbly" ... honey. Hmmm, but what to do when the jar is empty and there's only the sticky parts left? "Oh bother, empty again ..." Being a bear of Very Little Brain (but sometimes Great Cleverness), he might try to fool some Suspicious Bees into believing he's just a little black rain cloud, or on second thought, it might be easier (and a little less prickly) to stop by Rabbit's house for a small smackerel of something sweet ...
Either way, something unexpected is bound to happen ... like becoming a Wedged Bear in a Great Tightness. Oh, Bother! Still, everything always comes out right for Pooh, and that's because, though his head is only stuffed with fluff, he's a bear of Great Heart, Christopher Robin's special friend, and a Silly Old Bear.
Simba, the lion cub who is heir to King Mufasa, is taught to respect all creatures, great and small. They are all part of the Circle of Life. When the evil Scar initiates a wildebeest stampede that kills Mufasa, he blames Simba for his father's death and convinces Simba to run away.
So begins the journey from boyhood to manhood for Simba. Cast out into exile, Simba must fend for himself and, with the help of Timon and Pumbaa, he makes a lifestyle of "Hakuna Matata," no responsibilities, no cares. Only when Simba's old friend Nala appears, pleading with Simba to save the Pride Lands from the evil Scar, does he spring into action to take his rightful place in the Circle of Life as the new Lion King.
A princess of noble birth, Snow White is forced into rags as a scullery maid by her jealous stepmother, the Queen. Blessed with an innocent's indomitable spirit, the fair maiden never loses faith that one day the wishing well will grant her wish for a true love to come and take her away. When her dream is answered by a serenading young prince, the evil Queen orders Snow White killed. Faced with the girl's innocence, the huntsman assassin can't kill her, and begs her to flee deep into the forest, never to return. Once again her innocence saves her as the forest animals lead her to the Seven Dwarfs' cottage, where she takes the role of their adopted mother (even the woman-wary Grumpy can't help but warm to her eventually). The Queen, however, will use the girl's naivete against her as she dons the guise of a helpless peddler hag to lure Snow White into taking a bite from a poisoned apple. Falling into a sleeping death, Snow White can only be awakened by love's first kiss.
Taunted for the size of his enormous ears, the little elephant, Dumbo, is too young to understand what the laughter is about, but old enough to know that it's aimed at him. Cruelly separated from his mother by the circus, misunderstood and mistreated by the other animals, he's all alone in the world with "no warm trunk to cuddle up to, no one to dry his tears." Fortunately, he's got a mouse in his corner -- Timothy Mouse. With his new friend's help and guidance (and the help of a "magic feather"), Dumbo has the courage to take a leap of faith that turns the taunting into cheers, and makes all his dreams soar.
