12TH ANNUAL LIVING HISTORY MAKERS RECEPTION
Who:
The TPC Foundation, Inc., and Turning Point Magazine, in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilman Martin Ludlow, will host the 12th Annual Living History Makers Reception. Held during Black History Month, the Living History Makers Reception recognizes California's most dedicated individuals who have worked tirelessly to uplift our community in the areas of Advocacy, Arts & Entertainment, Science and Technology and Education.
When:
Thursday, February 24th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Where:
The Nate Holden Performing Arts Center
4718 W. Washington Blvd.
Los Angeles, California
What:
The first ever Living History Makers Reception Silent Auction to raise funds for the TPC Foundation Internship Program. Ms. Black California USA 2005 Isis McKenzie will be a special guest hostess during the silent auction.

Minimum bids begin $200 - $400 each - depending on item.
Why:
To benefit the TPC Foundation, Inc. which provides educational assistance and training through its TPC Internship Program. The program assists minority college students, particularly from under-served communities, in gaining practical experience and professional instruction in the field of communications, specifically in the areas of journalism, publishing, public relations, and graphic design. Through collaborations with business institutions, and on-the-job projects, the program provides a network of developmental and financial assistance to aid students in becoming more competitive and in continuing their educational pursuits.
