Akamedia launches the first edition of the AKA Video Awards to reward the best video clips
produced by students studying journalism or audiovisual all around the world.
The students’ productions will be available to the online services run by Akamedia and evaluated
by a jury of broadcast professionals but also by the internauts.
The contest starts the April 4th 2005 and the ceremony will be held in autumn 2005.
The students’ participation will be received as
Whether a 2 minute sequence in one of the seven categories for the NEWS AWARDS:
Activism - Freedom of speech - Human condition
Natural catastrophies - EU policy & economy - Sports - Showbiz
Or a video clip on a pre-selected track for the MUSIC AWARDS
The AKA Video Awards contest is a amazing opportunity for students to:
- Present their work to media professionals
- Get media exposure for themselves as well as for their school or university
- Start or expand their network in the broadcast industry.
