Visson announces the VI1000T Home DVB-T receiver at CeBIT 2005
CeBIT, Hannover (Germany) – March 15, 2005 – Visson Technologies, Inc. today announced the release of their VI1000T DVB-T digital TV Receiver. The VI1000T is part of Visson’s home entertainment range of DVB-T set-top boxes, and aimed to provide the ultimate in-house entertainment experience to viewers.
A demo of the VI1000 Home Entertainment DVB-T solution can be viewed at the CeBIT 2005 Show in Hannover (March 10-16, 2005), at Hall 11, Booth D48(1). Visson has established a global presence for their DTV receivers, partly through a clientele of leading car manufacturers in Europe. Their full range of DTV receivers will also feature at the Car+Sound and IFA 2005 shows in Europe.
The VI1000 Digital TV set-top box complies with DVB-T standards, and is offered to make Digital TV true entertainment. Further to its sleek, elegant and compact exterior design and full ITU Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) compliance for digital TV reception, the VI1000 provides high quality SPDIF digital audio and YCrCb digital video outputs. With the proper video and information services, and fully equipped with optional functions such as a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) and EPG (Electronic Program Guide), the VI1000 transforms an ordinary TV into a true Digital Multimedia Center.
Windows compatibility
The VI1000T provides excellent DTV Viewing on MS Windows™, and installs easily on Windows™. With a friendly TV-Screen-Like GUI, direct USB plug-in connection to PC’s and notebooks, and easy move around with no external power adaptor, this set-top box is ideally suited for the future digital home.
High Performance DTV Reception
The VI1000T is fully compliant with ETS 300 744 DVB-T & Nordig II standards. Other features include a 47-860 MHz frequency range for VHF/UHF, OFDM Demodulation 2K/8K FFT for SFN/MFN, multi-language support with Unicode font, in-the-field air downloader, and a user-friendly GUI. It supports QPSK & 16/64QAM constellations, connection to video & A/V terminals, and comes in a small footprint size (A4/2.1kg).
