Los Angeles, CA March 08th, 2005 - Paul Castro a City of Los Angeles Public Works Employee Filed a $13 Million dollar claim for damages against the City of Los Angeles after comments he made regarding managements failure to prevent the shooting deaths of two co–workers several days earlier results in discipline.
Mr. Castro believes the public has a right to know how there safety and the safety of its workforce are being put in jeopardy due to management’s failure to act accordingly and follow Established Guidelines and procedures. Mr. Castro has clearly stated management has failed to act on numerous occasions when Workplace Violence issues have been brought up, and how these acts are routinely swept under the carpet.
4 days after Mr. Castro’s comments, Mr. Castro was placed on Paid Administrative Leave. Mr. Castro filed the claim March 1st for damages with the City Clerk, a mandatory step before filing a lawsuit in Superior Court.
Mr. Castro Has retained the Law offices of Lawrence Wolf.
