London's Playlist Club (www.ipod-dj.com) is proud to introduce its first affiliated US event - Playlist Philadelphia.


Brief Message

London's Playlist Club (www.ipod-dj.com) is proud to announce its first free event outside London, in Philadelphia USA.

Just like our London event, Playlist Philadelphia (www.ipod-dj.com/philly) offers free admission, prizes, and a chance for music makers and fans to dance to their own tunes, at least for 15 minutes.

Playlist believes that when the audience is the entertainment, it's not right to charge a fee - we'd rather music fans spent their money buying tunes to play at the club. We're audience-focused - we want you to have a good time on the world's most democratic expanding dance floor.

Philadelphia's first Playlist event takes place on March 28 - just two days after Playlist's next London party on March 26.

Featuring special guest judge, Philadelphia Weekly music critic, Doug Wallen, Playlist Philadelphia will happen at the legendary The Khyber (www.thekhyber.com). Admission is free, and the three best DJs on the night (in the opinion of the judging panel) will each go home with a $15 iTunes voucher.

Just like Playlist London, music lovers are invited to show up at Playlist Philly (www.ipod-dj.com/philly) with iPods (or other music players) stuffed with sounds. They'll get 15 minutes to play their choice of tracks, and judges will decide the winning DJs on the following criteria: originality, audience reaction, and their own "gut-feeling".

As well as released tracks, DJs are invited to play their own songs and mixes. Check some sample London playlists here, (www.ipod-dj.com/themusic.htm).
