March 19, 2005 (Press Release) --
Thabiz.com conducted an exclusive interview with Virgin Records recording artist Brooke Valentine on the day that her album Chain Letter was released. Brooke was mad busy on her album release day appearing on TRL and BET’s 106 and Park but she still took time out to talk to thabiz.com during a 10:00 A.M. phone interview.
The interview with Brooke is quite extensive. Brooke is very intelligent and was very clear about getting her point across during the interview. The well spoken Houston, Texas native answered questions that her fans and the media are seeking.
Brooke explained what the song “Girlfight” is all about. When asked what she would say to parents or critics who felt the song sends the wrong message to teens by inciting violence, Brooke responded, “"Girlfight" is more or less about fighting, but it's about a female feeling tough, feeling sexy, feeling real good and expressing her right to roll her eyes and be mad. We all get mad. Nobody can tell us we can't get mad. That's what we do. That's what the song is about. If you really listen to the lyrics nobody ever hits anybody, it just talks about it.”
Brooke touches on a variety of topics including how she got in the business, what it was like to work with the late Dirt McGirt, and much more. We also feature a review of her fabulous debut album “Chain Letter.” View the interview at http://www.thabiz.com.
