NavTools Meteo is a small and very easy to use application for retrieving worldwide weather charts, satellite images, radar, and hurricane information from Internet. NavTools Meteo uses ftp to download the raw data directly from major weather servers, resulting in a much faster and more efficient download than via your browser. Latest version includes receipt of NavTex weather messages via Internet as well as Notices to Mariners for many major ports worldwide. Requires Internet Exporer 4+ and Windows Imaging or similar TIF viewer.

Surface weather charts and prognosis
Surface weather charts and prognose-charts from many major weather stations worldwide in identical format as transmitted via Weatherfax. Included are weather stations Bracknell, Boston, Hawaii, New Orleans, and many others.

1.Wave height and prognosis charts
Present wave height and direction and predicted wave conditions for many hours ahead from worldwide weather stations.

2.Hurricane tracking

Hurricane positions and expected track for all ocean area's.

3.Satellite imagery
The most recent satellite image for all ocean areas, either in visible light or infra red.

4.Storm warnings and outlooks
Storm warnings and weather forecasts in standard text format, as transmitted via the worldwide Inmarsat-C system.

5.NavTex weather messages and near-shore forecasts
NavTex weather messages and storm warnings for most US shores and several other international stations.

6.Radar imagery

The present radar-image from many major ports worldwide, allowing you to view present conditions (rain, thunderstorms, etc.) and assistance in avoiding areas of bad visibility.

7.Notices to mariners
Notices to mariners and navigational warnings for several major ports worldwide, including all US ports, Singapore, Hongkong, and many more.
Also included are the most recent piracy reports and warnings worldwide.

8.GPS status reports
Present status of GPS satellite navigation system.
