March 29, 2005 (Press Release) --
Launched March 25, 2005, Kopfhalter! Magazine—“Kopfhalter” being the German word for “head holder”—brings readers into a world of deep horror, strange tales and dark sex.
Definitely not a magazine for minors, Kopfhalter! Magazine takes the moodiest of horror fiction and the strangest of weird tales and blends them together between two glossy covers. Each magazine contains short stories, poems, comic strips, book reviews and a feature interview with the hottest talent in the publishing. The premiere issue features an interview with T.M. Gray, author of Ghosts of Eden, The Ravenous and Mr. Crisper.
Kopfhalter! Magazine also carries one feature story each issue, a piece longer than the rest and the highlight of the magazine. The premiere issue features The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving as its center piece, a deep nod of respect to one of the strongest of horror tales back in its day.
“What we wanted to do with Kopfhalter! was bring back the good old days of pulp fiction and recreate that classic ‘pulpy’ feel in our readers’ hearts each time they read a story in the magazine,” says publisher A.P. Fuchs. “I was fortunate enough to be approached by two of the best talents in the small press today—Keith Gouveia, who edits the magazine—and Sean Simmans, who provides most of the illustrations and comic strips—to publish it. Those two know horror and how to present it both with respect and edge. I know readers won’t be disappointed.”
Kopfhalter! Magazine ISSN 1712-8455 retails for $8.95US and is available from Coscom Entertainment, www.Shocklines.com and www.Projectpulp.com. For more on Kopfhalter! Magazine, a free preview and an unsettling trailer for the magazine, please visit www.CoscomEntertainment.com/kopfhalter.html
