After a lengthy period of inactivity and subsequent short downtime, this once widely used poetry website is back on the internet again and surfing quality.

At the height of its previous success, Poetry Today Online was recognized by USA Today for its Columbine tribute. It carried an award from the well-known Super Poetry Highway and was listed in Poet's Market for three years in a row. The 2,000 "Ring of Words" webring membership was owned/managed by Poetry Today Online and educational systems used this site in their curriculums.
Today finds that previous contributing staff members have become published poets and authors.
The editor is enthusiastic about reconstructing the poetic site to its previous potential and "then some!"
Currently the website hosts poetry news, links, resources, articles, featured poets, and motivational material. The future holds the promise of a poetry forum and classical poet material for educational use.
Poetry Today Online has proudly been serving internet poets since 1997.
