April 1, 2005 (Press Release) --
West Vancouver, BC, March 30, 2005. Bitspan Network Inc., an anti-spam technology developer, has announced that it will be selectively releasing the beta version of its flagship product, the Spamity™ component, an email identification tool that uses the company’s patent-pending Forensic Email Sequencing Technology (FEST™). The Spamity™ component delivers easy integration into virtually any mail system, at any level and is completely secure – no email ever leaves the local network. The Spamity™ component, which is part of Bitspan’s Spamity™ SDK, enables developers to deliver next-generation spam filtering applications desired by network and IT administrators.
Ideally, the Spamity™ component is deployed in concert with other spam filtering systems, and can be positioned upstream and/or downstream of existing solutions. Additionally, the spam email identification functionality of this component is accessible from remote systems.
Bitspan is addressing the core challenges associated with existing email filtering solutions; the increasing difficulty in correctly identifying spam email and differentiating it from legitimate email. “Basically any organization that uses email, whatever the setting or format, can benefit by adding this application to their anti-spam arsenal,” said Mr. Jelveh. Bitspan is presently accepting applications from an additional number of select organizations that wish to participate in the beta. Those interested in participating should contact Bitspan Network’s Beta Partners Program. For download instructions, beta release notes, and to learn more about the program, please visit the beta project page at http://www.bitspan.com/beta.htm.
“Anyone that deals with email, in any setting and format, can utilize this component” said Mr. Jelveh. The functionality of the component can be invoked locally and/or remotely, making it ideal for use in Firewalls, Message Transfer Agents (MTA), Mail Servers (SMTP), Anti-Spam solutions, Anti-virus solutions, collaboration and email client applications. Mr. Jelveh added: “… many companies stand to benefit from this technology for the purposes of attaining better and more accurate mail filtering results for themselves and their end-users.“
Those interested in participating in the beta program should contact Bitspan Network’s Beta Partners Program at beta@bitspan.com.
