Beat the high cost of commuting forever. Work from home, either in your own home-based business, or as a tele-commuter. You reduce stress, save time, reduce pollution, and save a ton of money by working from home.
"If the vision is there, the means will follow." Poweful words from Faith Popcorn, author of the best selling "Poprcorn Report" and "Clicking". Working from home addresses nearly all the 17 trends in "Clicking".
Here's a quick check list. Do these steps in this order, and you will tip the success scale in your favor.
1. Choose to develop a home business BEFORE you're flat broke, behind on your bills, and un-employed.
2. Inventory your communication skills. ALL home business involves some type of sales. It may be "soft-sales", but it still involves communicating with prospects in such a way as to have them become customers and/or business associates.
3. Determine what business niche really fires you up. When you are passionate about a PRODUCT, it's much easier to talk about, and recommend that product. If the ONLY REASON you're looking at a business is for the money... step back. You may be headed for failure.
4. Create a plan for your home business. In that plan, determine where, when, how, with whom, what, and why you are choosing that particular home business.
5. Research your chosen business very carefully. Look for both positive and negative information. Always look for true "third-party validation".
6. Choose your sponsor as if you were choosing a mate. In most home business, you will be in some kind of a "sponsored" relationship. To sponsor means to be responsible for a certain amount of training and support.
7. Commit to at least one full year of solid work on your new business. That means attending the training, doing the calls, talking to people, sharpening your skills, and investing in the proper tools to conduct your business, including marketing/advertising.
8. Set measurable goals. Attach memorable rewards for achieving your goals. For example, when you reach a certain sales level, reward yourself with a shopping trip, or a short vacation.
9. Find other people who are in the same business and create a mastermind group. They may be within your organization or cross-line to you.
10. Plan to re-invest your profits for quicker growth. Always put at least 50% back into your business, after you give 10% to charity, and put 10% into your savings account.
Shari Thomas, who has been working from home for 3 years says, "Before I began working full-time from home, I averaged 15,000 miles a year just commuting. Today, I drive less than 5,000 miles a year, and that is strictly for pleasure."
