April 8, 2005 (Press Release) --
LCS Group, which includes the mobile entertainment service provider PlayFon, occupies 62nd position in the list of Top 100 Russian IT-companies, published by the group CNews Analytics. CNews Analytics summarized its expertise and research of the Russian IT and telecommunication market in the yearly review “Russian IT-Market 2004”.
“LCS Group, which offers Russian mobile users a wide range of services under the trademark PlayFon, demonstrated rapid growth and soared to 62nd line in the list, 17-position leap from the previous year (79th place in 2003). The turnover increased by 199.8% - $17.6 million in 2004 compared with $5.87 million in 2003. We are thankful to our clients and partners for boosting the development of the company. The leading position at the Russian market of wireless entertainment gives us every reason to believe that in 2005 we will live up to mobile users’ expectations by providing high-quality products and services,” Muslim Shortanov, LCS Group president said. The company operations are not confined within Russia. On Mach 7, 2005 LCS Group entered the UK market of mobile content as a part of its expansion strategy.
Curiously enough, none of the companies placed above LCS Group in the list can match LCS in terms of growth rate in 2004. Currently, LCS Group is the only company providing VAS-services presented in the rating “CNews 100: Top Russian IT-companies”.
