April 22, 2005 (Press Release) --
Clearwater, FL – Editors R.M.Thompson and Joseph Baneth Allen released table of contests that will appear in their anthology, “Testosterone.” Testosterone is a collection of horror stories that the editors call a “thrilling voyage into the male psyche, with often horrific results.”
The stories range from campy to plain old terrifying. The stories’ theme of purely male ideas is sometimes subliminal, and sometimes so down right rowdy it punches you in the face. The various plots include a cowboy who takes on a mob of citizens, a balding man who uses a weird experimental treatment, a man trying to get “past the fat girl” to get the girl of his dreams, and a futuristic war of racial tension.
Testosterone is scheduled for a late May release by Cyber Pulp.
The authors are a blend of seasoned pros and new voices. Notable writers are Joseph Baneth Allen, with previous work appearing in Maxim and OMNI magazines, L. Marie Woods, author and editor of several horror books and Michael Boatman, former star of such hit television shows as “Arli$$” and “Spin City.”
