Released by Oceania Printing Technologies, Ricoh Priport Twin Colour TC-II contains two inline print cylinders and has no scanner or master processing unit. This makes it the world’s first single pass digital duplicating system with two-color features. This main feature makes TC-II an optional slave printer for offline use. It relies on the Priport JP5500 or JP8500 to make its masters.
Owing to its two-color feature, TC-II offers accurate and stable registration on two-color print jobs. This economical product greatly reduces the time and cost spent on two color print jobs. It is also a high-volume digital duplicator due to its publishing features, computer connectivity, greater printer ease, and a low cost per page.
The TC-II is a new addition to the Oceania Printing Technologies’ long line of Ricoh Priport digital duplicating and printing innovations. Ricoh Priport is very much suitable for high volume copying, printing find. This is so because Priport mainly excels in long print runs, high speed copying capability of up to 130 copies per minute and ability to handle a wide range of paper sizes, weights and thickness. Fully enhanced in the TC-II is Priport’s additional attraction of versatile digital processing and easy color changing for multiple colors.
TC-II further enhanced Priport’s cost-effectivity. Printing costs of Priport is very minimal compared to other copiers, since the cost per copy gradually lessen as more print-outs are made from one original.
Like all of Ricoh Priports,TC-II is packed with the most advanced imaging technologies – a ultra-fine thermal head unit that can afford up to 600 dpi resolution and fine grain ink. This feature equals laser printers and digital copiers. This assures that the print quality remains stable no matter how many copies you make of the original.
An exceptional feature available in this breakthrough is durability for it boasts of a preventive maintenance cycle of 500,000 copies or 6 months. It can be noted that this equipment along with other Ricoh Priport models does not produce heat when printing. It is user-friendly for both master material and ink can easily be set. Their operation panel design is similar to that of copiers. Operational push-buttons are easy to manipulate and doesn’t especially call for a specialist operator.
