FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Boardman, Oregon) A group of prominent Portland, Oregon businessmen has formed BOJV, LLC. in an attempt to bring NASCAR racing to the Northwest. BOJV and the Port of Morrow have places 1,100 acres of land located in Boardman, Oregon, into escrow. The land is the only fully permitted tract in the Pacific Northwest that has completed the land use process and been approved for a NASCAR-type track and racing facility. BOJV has completed traffic, marketing and facility surveys, indicating that the Boardman location is the ideal location for a race track and the associated racing events. BOJV has been in discussions with Governor Ted Kulongowskis office, Marty Brantley of the Oregon Economic Development Commission and Drew Mahalic of the Oregon Sports Authority, to assist them in attracting International Speedway Corporation (ISC) to the site. BOJV has also begun to structure a financial package that it believes will entice ISC to locate a new track at the proposed site. For more information on BOJV, or to assist them in their efforts, please visit our website at www.boardmanspeedway.com or call the spokesman for BOJV, John Magliana, at (503) 699-7373.
