THE MUCKER’S CLUB FOUNDER, COLIN GANLEY VISITS RECIPIENT LIBRARY AND COMMUNITY LEADERS IN PARAGUAY
WALTHAM, MASSACHUSETTS, 7 MAY 2005
April 24 through 28, 2005, Colin Ganley the Founder of The Mucker's Club visited Paraguay to observe the library that has been receiving donations from The Mucker's Club.
During the visit he personally brought a donation of educational games to the library, met citizens in the community who are doing development projects, met the Mayor of San Juan Bautista, and a Senator in Asuncion, the capital city.
Politicians at the national and local level expressed pleasure that The Mucker's Club was working to bring development to Paraguay and Misiones.
Meetings with community leaders were tremendously successful. What came from those meetings was a better understanding of what types of books and education are needed in rural Paraguay.
Seeing The Mucker's Club’s donations in use showed that the charity is making a positive difference in the world. The Mucker's Club developed and solidified strong relationships with the hard working people of Paraguay and the Peace Corps Volunteer, Jill Perry, who coordinated this project.
