THE MUCKERS CLUB DONATES EDUCATIONAL GAMES TO SAN JUAN BAUTISTA LIBRARY IN RURAL PARAGUAY
WALTHAM, MASSACHUSETTS, 7 MAY 2005
The Mucker's Club generously donated educational games to the San Juan Bautista Library in Misiones, Paraguay. Some of the games included Monopoly, Clue, building blocks, and word learning games (Spanish language), among others.
On a visit to this recipient library, the Founder of The Mucker's Club, Colin Ganley, brought games from Buenos Aires (where the games were purchased) to the library. The games were catalogued and placed in the second floor where they became accessible by all. Three young children immediately began playing with the toys.
These games were donated so that the young children playing them would learn about math, language and other disciplines while exercising creativity. These children will also learn that the library is a fun place and they will begin the pattern of going to the library. Later in life when they visit the library they will be able to read the books that The Muckers Club has donated, with their knowledge and critical thinking ability, they will be able to develop their communities politically, socially, commercially and intellectually.
