May 9, 2005 (Press Release) --
The OX-GEN Rigid O2 Generation System provides instant, emergency oxygen at a minimum rate of 6 liters per minute for a minimum of 15 minutes. It uses a rigid three-chamber container with the necessary pre-measured chemicals in place in each chamber. A rotary valve (or valves) connects each of the chambers. A reaction catalyst is stored within the interior of one of the rotary valves. The unit is activated when all of the valves are opened in the proper sequence. This allows the catalyst and chemicals to mix and start generating oxygen immediately. The valves remain open during the unit’s use to allow the generated oxygen to leave the generator and be conveyed to the oxygen mask. The unit generates 99.9% pure oxygen.
In addition to government agencies, other organizations that are interested in the system are fire stations, rescue teams, combat military operations and mine operations where pressurized oxygen is unsafe to use.
The OX-GEN Rigid O2 Generation System can be used in the various places as follows if ever oxygen supply is reduced to an unsafe level. Remember, a person can survive for weeks without food and days without water, but only minutes without oxygen.
Frank Fosella, Chairman and President of OX-GEN explained, “Oxygen is vital for life, yet it is not readily accessible. Until recently, a call to 911 was the only way to receive oxygen in an emergency. The availability of this product will ensure greater safety and peace of mind.”
