What: Humanity Helping Humanity (H3) will hold event to mark the 30th year anniversary in honor of the United States Vietnam and Laos Secret War Veterans May 14, 2005.
Who: College students and community group Humanity Helping Humanity organized, coordinated, and carried out the entire event to remember those who gave their lives for the United States and the ones left behind in Laos facing extreme communist persecution.
When: May 14, 2005, from 5PM to 12am midnight - to mark the 30th year anniversary of the Vietnam Conflict and the U.S. Secret War in Laos. H3 will open the event explaining their movement to save the U.S. Secret War allies still trapped behind enemy line. First Hmong State Representative Cy Thao, Colonel Ly Teng, Major Vang Kai Yang, Patan Chai Fue Xiong, and other distinguish community leaders are planning to give speeches.
Follow by live music and candle light vigils. During the vigil H3 will show documentaries by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Fact Finding Commission (FFC) on the atrocity against the U.S. Secret War Veterans and their families in the jungles of Laos.
Where: Food Smart parking lot, 544 University Ave. W., St. Paul, MN 55103.
Details: H3 raised money to finance the event by washing cars, door knocking, and soliciting local businesses. The event emphasis on the sacrifices made by the Vietnam and Laos Secret War Veterans who gave their all to stop the spread of communism in Southeast Asia. Though the United States continue to look for the remains of POW/MIA in Southeast Asia, there remain 20,000 Secret War veterans and their families trapped behind enemy line desperately seeking safe haven from communist persecution to exterminate all those who assisted America during the Vietnam conflict.
