Daleks Invade Halcyon Software Ltd

The Daleks, who were thought destroyed by the Doctor, have not only made a recent comeback to our TV screens, but now they have firmly landed on our doorstep in a bid to take over offices at Halcyon Software in Peterborough.
IT Managers and Network Administrators from businesses, county councils, schools and colleges are invited to tackle their network management problems and meet two Daleks, who belong to Managing Director, Lorraine Cousins, on June 9th, 16th and 21st at Halcyon Software’s Head Office in Peterborough. The Daleks will be on display as part of a free, workshop-style, seminar entitled “Managing Your Network”. The seminars focus on overcoming problems with computer servers, services, applications and devices by using a new software product called the “Halcyon Network Server Suite”. The seminar will finish with a demo of the new software which enables network problems to be spotted by “intelligent monitoring” and notifies the Network Manager by sending text messages to his mobile phone, email address or to a PC screen. The constant monitoring by the software allows many problems to be solved and dealt with automatically, so that major disruption to businesses or organisations can be avoided.
Carole Chandler, Sales and Marketing Director for Halcyon, commented, “Many Network Managers have a real challenge to keep control of the many different things that can go wrong with a network. We thought what could be more topical than using Daleks to promote our free seminars and our new software. The Daleks always like to be in control and it was a way of getting across our message that this new software enables Network Managers to stay in control.”
All attendees of the seminar will get the opportunity to meet the Daleks, have their photograph taken, and have lunch with the software developers.
