For_Immediate_Release:

May 18, 2005 (Press Release) -- Confederation of Construction Products and Services (CCPS), New Delhi,India, a non-profit body dedicated to improvements in quality and efficiency in construction, is launching a nationwide program to train architects, builders, contractors, facility managers and others on Selection of Appropriate Glass in Modern Buildings, with the support of AIS Glass Solutions Limited.

Over the next six months a series of one-day training programs will be conducted at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow and other cities.

Today there are wide ranges of glasses, each with specific properties that are available in India. However, even as glass use is increasing in buildings, there remain issues that remain to be resolved, particularly in the area of heat control, sound control, and protection of contents of buildings and occupants from theft or hurt from breakage of glass.

The training course covers the basics of glass selection in relation to need for heat control, acoustics, thermal breakage, and safety and security. The participants are also exposed to appropriate use of tempered glass, laminated glass and insulated glass and the quality issues relating to these products. This knowledge will help participants deliver greater value to their clients and also protect them making wrong and potentially damaging selection.

The course is based on an easy to use training manual published by AIS Glass Solutions Limited. All the participants are given a copy of the manual designed to allow them to take notes during the program and retain it for reference in their practice.

The fee for the one-day program is Rs. 600 and includes the lunch and refreshments during the day and a complimentary copy of the Training manual.

To inquire about the training schedule in your city or to find out more details about the content, please contact Mr. Manoj Chandel, Confederation of Construction Products and Services (CCPS) at ccps@ccpsindia.com or call 011-26445615.
