May 18, 2005 (Press Release) --
At the encouragement of SoulMuzick Recordings vice-president Simon “ Crazy C.” Cullins Jr., Shei decided to put the story into a song. “I wasn’t comfortable talking about it for a long time” stated Shei, while discussing the idea of the song with Crazy C. “But it’s my testimony, and if I can stop another person from playing with a gun through my song, then its worth it” says Shei. The new song entitled “ I Got Shot” is now available for download at soulmuzick.com and will be included on her upcoming sophomore release entitled “The Lita Mae Show”.
Shei charts new territory with a style of music that defies category, definition or boundaries. The “Lita Mae Show”, which is due August 2nd, will be a delight to her current fan base and be a breath of fresh air to her new fans. In a day where music is often carbon copied, listeners who are tired of regurgitating the current menu of sounds, will find “ The Lita Mae Show” to be the one that gives them food to settle their souls.
