Facial Hair Removal
Unwanted or excess facial hair can be an embarrassing problem for both women and men. Women with facial hair suffer from feeling less feminine and can be uncomfortable with their appearance. Men may prefer to remove excess hairs from their eyebrows or just prefer to have a smooth facial appearance without shaving.
Facial hair removal is most commonly accomplished by plucking, electrolysis, shaving, and waxing. Plucking facial hair sometimes has to be done daily to maintain smooth skin. It can cause discoloration, or infection of the hair follicles. Electrolysis can be expensive, and can also discoloration or infection of the hair follicles. Electrolysis can be handy for the straggler hairs at the end of the full laser treatment cycle, however. Shaving can leave women and men with a five-o-clock shadow. Depilatories can be irritating. Finally waxing can cause redness, and irritation.

Women with hormonal imbalances, or other conditions such as polycystic ovarian disease should have their hormones balanced under the supervision of a medical doctor before undergoing laser hair removal for facial hair. Many women get more facial hair as they age. Likewise, many men get excess hair on their ears as they get older.
