End users order content, stored in PlayFon’s database, not only through the portals www.playfon.ru and wap.playfon.ru but also via 2500 Internet-sites, periodicals and cell-phone outlets. The average load on the cluster amounts to 15-20 million requests daily with the peak demand of 800 requests per second.
“Effective and smooth performance of the scalable infrastructure devised to satisfy all the needs of hundreds of thousands of our clients, is critical for our company. IBM technology meets all our requirements to server systems”, - Vladimir Borodin, PlayFon vice-president said.
PlayFon’s staff has a great experience in setting, maintaining and balancing the IBM eServer xSeries based fault-tolerant systems. The equipment is supplied by IMS Computers, IBM’s business-partner and reseller.
