SIGNATURE WORLDWIDE EXPANDS GLOBAL PRESENCE WITH
NEW INDIAN LICENSEE
COLUMBUS, Ohio (May 19, 2005) — Signature Worldwide, the leading provider of training and business building solutions to the hospitality industry, has expanded its global presence by licensing its programs to an India-based entrepreneur. The launch of Ruby Signature marks the company’s 12th international licensee. Other Signature international licensees are located in Brazil, Belize, Costa Rica, Cyprus, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Panama.
Ruby Signature will bring Signature’s customer service training services and online tools to the Indian hospitality and call center markets. Ruby Signature will incorporate Indian customs and languages to the company’s call center, front desk, phone service and sales training programs.
“With the growth in India’s economy, there has been significant expansion in the service and hospitality industries,” said Mrs. Saroj Sharma, managing director, Ruby Signature. “By offering Signature’s training programs we can help companies improve service and increase revenue, helping them stay ahead of domestic and international competition.”
According to a recent article in Express Travel & Tourism, India’s leading travel business magazine, both international and domestic tourism is on the rise. In 2004, tourist traffic in India increased by more than 25 percent, making India the fastest growing global market.
All Signature licensees are required to go through an intensive training program at the company’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The training program covers all of Signature’s services and tools, as well as business development and marketing issues.
“Customer service issues differ from market to market, and customer expectations and accepted procedures vary depending on local culture and history,” said Steven D. Wolever, president and CEO, Signature Worldwide. “The licensee program gives us the opportunity to expand internationally by partnering with foreign-based entrepreneurs who can localize our methodologies while remaining true to our proven training techniques.”
According to Wolever, Signature is reviewing additional foreign licensee opportunities, and hopes to expand into 20 new countries by the end of 2005.
