May 23, 2005 (Press Release) --
SupportUniverse, the online freelance programmers marketplace, recently introduced its new escrow service for its worldwide members. Escrow service is expected to help its members feel safe requesting bids from foreign service providers.
SupportUniverse, as the premium marketplace where webmasters and recruiters can easily find freelancers to do specific jobs/projects for a limited budget, has been offering its services on the web since July 2004, and now has more than 1500 service providers with specialties in wide areas of IT, including but not limited to, software programming, web design, graphic and logo design, SEO and online marketing, general IT outsourcing services, BPO and data entry.
At SupportUniverse.com, webmasters post their projects (free), specify a budget limit, and within minutes, they start receiving offers from freelancers and firms willing to do this job for an amount "lower" than the budget limit. All done in an auction-style bidding marketplace, where freelancers compete to deliver the specified project with better quality and less time, and most importantly, less cost!
Recently, SupportUniverse introduced its own escrow service to its member; which means project owners (webmasters) can deposit the funds in escrow until they receive the finished project. If satisfied with the results, they ask to release the funds to the service provider, and if not satisfied, they get a full refund.
