May 24, 2005 (Press Release) --
Is Eminem getting too big for his boots?
2002 was a great year for this blonde haired, blue-eyed white boy from Kansas City. Eminem entered the rap game against all odds and immediately changed the stereotypical description of a successful rapper. All his hard work has paid off as he has earned the respect from other rappers such as 2 Pac and Snoop Doggy Dogg . His new album, The Eminem Show, sold 7.4 million copies and his feature film debut 8 Mile has been one of the most successful pop music films in history. But Eminem whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, came from very humble beginnings. He was raised by a single mother and his younger years were unsteady and restless. After relocating to countless trailer homes, the Mathers settled on the east side of Detroit where Marshall spent most of his time reading comics and watching television. In the mid 1980's he discovered a new love in the form of rapping and rhyming - the beginning of a beautiful relationship. The 30-year-old rapper, who has given up drugs and works out daily and frequently spends quality time with his daughter Hailie is presently working closely on his newly formed record label (Shady Records) with his group D12.
According to sources Enimen has now reported that, ' he may be getting too big. "It's almost getting to the point where I truly believe I may be getting too big for my own good" and I never really asked for that". He also fears his success and newfound mainstream acceptance may do more harm than good. "When everyone loves you, who's left to hate you?" he said. "The kids want something they can hold on to that their parents hate. I know I did growing up".
