May 24, 2005 (Press Release) --
THE ATLANTA BROADCAST INSTITUTE MATCHES MONTGOMERY G.I. BILL BENEFITS
ABI helps curb vocational costs to veterans and all qualified military personel
The Atlanta Broadcast Institute, located in Marietta, Georgia, is authorized by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission, and offers 8 week day classes and 16 week evening classes that, upon completion of the program, graduates are issued a Certificate in Radio and Television Broadcasting.
The Atlanta Broadcast Institute accepts the Montgomery GI Bill, and we are proud to announce our matching grant program to veterans and all of the U.S. armed forces who qualify for GI Bill benefits. Depending upon the applicants’ GI Bill benefits, as much as one-third of the course cost could be covered by the GI Bill. And as a way to give back to those who have served our country, the Atlanta Broadcast Institute will match that amount (amount depends on the recipients GI Bill benefits). Any remaining portion of the course costs could be financed in house with zero interest,” said Thea Marcacci, Director of Admissions.
Our staff at the Atlanta Broadcast Institute has also found another, often overlooked, part of the GI Bill’s benefits, called the GI Bill’s “On-The-Job Training Program”. These funds often go unused, and could be used to defray the costs of making a career transition. As much as $11,000.00 may be available to GI Bill recipients re-entering the work force into an entry level position in their new career.
The Atlanta Broadcast Institute strives to make the process of applying for the GI Bill benefits even easier. We are currently working with the local VA official, trying to implement on-line filing for GI Bill benefits.
