May 25, 2005 (Press Release) --
ALPA, the union representing the majority of the nations airline pilots is operating in the red and desperate for cash. In a move to enhance income through dues and assessments, ALPA has begun a strategy of threatening and harassing pilots across the country who owe the union money. The threat of employment termination now weighs over hundreds of the nations airline pilots as a result of ALPA action. Chris Beebe, ALPA Vice President/Treasurer is responsible for distributing hundreds of such letters to airline pilots. The labor union which supposedly represents the interests of airline pilots has become their enemy instead. Concerned fliers who don't want their pilot threatened or distracted should contact their congressman today. Let's put a stop to union arrogance and extortion tactics. Safety of flight is everyones responsibility. Apparently, ALPA hasn't gotten the word.
