FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) May 30, 2005 -- Michael Stapleton Associates (MSA) and MSGI Security Solutions announced the completed installation of a wireless SmartTech® network that enables bomb detection monitoring 24/7 at the Statue of Liberty. Working in partnership with Innalogic LLC, MSCI’s wireless software and network engineering firm; MSA created a secure point to point broadband connection to transmit x-ray screening images wirelessly from Liberty Island to MSA’s bomb detection monitoring Command Center.

The project represents an important new security initiative at the Statue of Liberty. The specially engineered wireless link powers a fully encrypted signal that creates a private broadband network dedicated solely to bomb detection. Via the connection, as with the over 125 wired SmartTech systems already installed throughout the U.S. and Canada, MSA’s Bomb Technicians receive images plus a voice-over-IP (VoIP) channel from the x-ray screening system.

Whenever an x-ray system operator on Liberty Island, or anywhere else in the world, deems an image captured by the x-ray machine suspicious they can with the click of a mouse, transmit the image instantly to highly trained and experienced Bomb Technicians at MSA’s SmartTech Command Center. The Bomb Tech evaluates the image and provides immediate interpretation and guidance on the suspect image to the operator.

Jeremy Barbera, Chairman and CEO of MSGI Security Solutions, Inc., said, “MSGI is in the business of devising customized, integrated solutions that meet our clients’ safety and security requirements. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with MSA to custom design a wireless solution that safeguards the Statue of Liberty in the critical area of explosives detection. This is the successful first project in a series of joint initiatives we will be undertaking with MSA.”

Bryan M. Parola, CEO of Innalogic, “Our work at Liberty Island was a true team effort. By combining MSA’s capabilities in bomb detection monitoring with Innalogic’s expertise in network engineering, we were able to devise a fully data-protected wireless link that supports the overall security infrastructure on Liberty Island, while providing a foundation for additional wireless connectivity in the future.”

George Harvey, President of Michael Stapleton Associates, said, “MSA is pleased to have helped increase security at the Statue of Liberty, one of our country’s most treasured national landmarks. MSA’s SmartTech engineers worked closely with Innalogic to devise a solution that met the U.S. Park Police’s core requirement --- designing a powerful, secure and dedicated wireless link to transmit images for MSA Bomb Techs’ round the clock monitoring.”
