Spring Cleaning Tip: Extra Household Items May Be Worth More Than Atlanta Residents Think

Unused items stashed away in the closets and drawers of Atlanta residents are likely to be worth considerably more than most owners estimate. Extra household goods such as sporting goods, unused computers and personal electronics can be sold for hundreds of dollars online, including eBay, The World’s Online Marketplace™. Making this process even easier is Kriss Johnson, a Snellville based eBay Trading Assistant, who can manage the process of selling on eBay for local residents. eBay Trading Assistants are registered members on eBay who have demonstrated the ability and expertise to sell items on eBay.
According to a 2004 A.C. Nielsen survey commissioned by eBay, the typical American household has about 25 unused, high-value items lying around. These items include sporting goods, electronics, photography equipment, auto parts, computers and hardware, accessories, jewelry, and home improvement products.
According to this study, U.S. households like those in Snellville, discard three items a year on average, virtually all of them in working order. The items most often thrown out by the households surveyed were handbags, cell phones, televisions, and desktop computers.
“After taking inventory of extra or unused household items, residents can list the items they intend to discard on eBay where they often find a high demand among collectors, businesses, and individuals looking for products to use, repair or acquire for spare parts,” said Johnson
To list and sell an item on eBay, residents or businesses only need to contact Johnson at 678-438-5906 or via email at kriss@ladyrainescloset.com and she will do the work. As a Trading Assistant, Johnson will pick up the product from the resident’s location, photograph it, create the eBay listing to sell the item, contact the highest bidder, package and ship the item, collect the payment and send the money to the item’s owner, less any fees charged by the Trading Assistant.
“When they prepare for spring cleaning, people in Atlanta should realize they are likely to be able to sell these unwanted items on eBay for considerably more than they would receive from a garage sale or donations,” said Johnson
eBay Trading Assistants are independent sellers, not employees or contractors of eBay Inc.
