June 6, 2005 (Press Release) --
Orlando, FL – June 6, 2005 -- “INCONCEIVABLE,” the feature film that takes a compelling look at infertility and the world of assisted reproductive techniques, has been extended for three more years by LIFETIME ENTERTAINMENT after a successful two year broadcast.
The film, produced by Fertile Films, was at the forefront of bringing the subject of infertiity to television in scripted form and has generated a loyal following.
“We receive email from couples around the country who are facing the challenges of starting a family,” says Bob Weis, director of the film. “They write to tell us how much the film ‘hit home’ for them.”
Weis, and screenwriter Diane Fredel-Weis, who wrote the script, are partners in Fertile Films.
“We have heard from people as far away as Nigeria who sought out “Inconceivable,” says Fredel-Weis. “We’re glad that our film has had such a positive impact.”
Because of the success of the film, Fredel-Weis has been invited to be the keynote speaker at two annual conferences for RESOLVE, the national infertility assocation.
“Inconceivable” stars Corinne Bohrer (“Veronica Mars,” “Joan of Arcadia”), Mo Gaffney (“Absolutely Fabulous,” “Mad About You”) and Jonathan Penner (“CSI,” “Arrested Development”).
Curb Entertainment is the distributor of “Inconceivable” and has licensed the film worldwide.
Fredel-Weis. an Emmy award-winning writer and producer, continues her exploration of topical family issues in her new screenplay, a romantic comedy, “Single With Parents.” Weis' documentary, "In Their Footsteps: Retracing Lewis & Clark" will be broadcast on PBS stations across the country through American Public Televison network including most of the top 50 markets.
