MATT LAPPIN AND THE FUCK MONKEYS is a night of comedy, music, and gradual
evolution running bi-monthly at Lolita Bar in the lower east side of New
York City (266 Broome Street). Twice a month, Matt Lappin (one of the
"Strangers with Candy" movie and television show writers) gathers some of
his favorite comedians and musicians, dubs them "Fuck Monkeys", and then
lets them loose on the crowd.
The lack of cover, no drink minimum, and unorthodox show format makes this
show the bargain basement titty tickler of the summer season.
You can expect a healthy dose of raunchy shouting, political comedy, and a
gaggle of Fuck Monkeys who have written and appeared on Comedy Central, HBO,
and some other channels you might flick around to once in a while.
Bring your opposable thumb and join the Fuck Monkeys at their next show on
June 16th at 9:30pm.
