June 12, 2005 (Press Release) --
What the public hears and reads from major news organizations may very well be little more than propaganda from the United States or any other country's government promoted for the purpose of deceiving the public.
During the 1977 investigation of the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Martin Luther King Jr. House Select Committee Chief Counsel Richard Sprague was leading an executive session of the testimony of former CIA operative David Atlee Phillips. One of the questions asked concerned Mr. Phillips' work in Mexico in the early 1960s. Mr. Phillips testified that his work was, 'propaganda and that sort of thing'. Mr. Sprague pushed for more details and Mr. Phillips continued with, "By arranging, assissting journalists, for instance, to write the right kind of things about the United States, supporting groups who were in effect groups which might - which were anti-Castro." Today we know that so-called anti-Castro CIA agents were linked to Lee Harvey Oswald and the assassination of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.
In mid- 1963 Mr. Phillips became head of what was called 'Cuban Operations' out of the CIA Mexico City CIA headquarters during the time period of JFK's assassination until 1965. He was there in 1963 when it was later reported that there were pictures of Lee Harvey Oswald going into the CIA headquarters. With the CIA assissting 'journalists' to write the 'right' thing it is no wonder that CBS news and other major news organizations around the world heralded the lone gunman theory of Lee Harvey Oswald being the '3 shot' assassin soon after JFK's killing and even continuing today. News organizations wonder why the public has lost confidence in the truthfulness of their reporting when it is clear that the public has learned that their reporting is often nothing more than promotion of propaganda. Propaganda, that includes, 'lies made up to cover-up criminal opreations of any particular government'. When FBI Special Agent Hosty of the Dallas FBI office focused exclusively on Lee Harvey Oswald as the killer immediately after JFK's assassination it is clear today that it was an abuse of power by the FBI. When the major news organizations followed his lead by promoting the lone gunman theory it was part of the conspiracy and cover-up.
