Imperial Stunt Drivers
International Thrill Show Royalty Are Ready to “Roll and Roar” At the Wayne County Fair
The year 2005 will witness the joined talents of an international array of elite stunt driving stars under the show’s banner The Imperial Stunt Drivers. New to the fair’s schedule of events this trio of stunt-driver royalty will be performing on Friday, August 12 at 3 PM and 8 PM in front of the grandstand.
Meet The Imperial Stunt Drivers
Paul Riddell, a hard charging veteran driver from Canada, began his stunt driving career 53 years ago, and is famous for his dare devil antics and thrilling performances. Hailing from Denmark, Europe is Tonny Peterson. Originally an acrobat, Tonny began his career with the Jack Kochman Hell Drivers. He has become a true artist in the infinite control of a motor vehicle. From the United States comes Toby Thibodeau. This Maine native joined the Imperial Stunt Drivers 23 years ago. She lost her left hand in a car-exploding stunt in the 1990s, but she loves the excitement and enjoys pushing the envelope ensuring a great performance with each show. If you are a Monster Truck fan, you might recall the Detroit diesel powered “ All Canadian” Dodge, the blown Chevy powered “Wrecker,” and none other than the shocking pink “One Armed Bandit.” During the off-season she has been active driving these three Monster trucks with Motor Madness. This lady has crashed over 2,000 cars at exhibitions all over the country. The Imperial Stunt Drivers has over 125 years of experience as performers and expert drivers. The all-new 2005 Mustang GTs will be the vehicles of choice for the stunt show extravaganza, with Tonny and Paul demonstrating their talents in two-wheel driving in Ranger Pickups. No stunt show is complete with the roar of a motorcycle and fire! Rounding out this unique troupe is motorcycle rider Mike Merryweather, a 5-year veteran who is known for his breathtaking “fire” acts. Derrick and Ashley Riddell are teenage crash specialists who have grown up in the stunt and thrill show industry. And to make sure you laugh between your ohhhs and ahhhhs you will be introduced to the Imperial Stunt Drivers own “Ko-Ko the Klown.” A smile is certain as he rides the famous “Krazy Komedy Kar.” His antics are hilarious! Of course the voice on the microphone during each show is veteran host Larry Rich. His announcing and detailed descriptions of the individual stunts have been honed through years of practice as a ringmaster and thrill show emcee
