Washington DC (Government Executives) - During a ceremony held yesterday at the Madison building of the new headquarters of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), The Department of Commerce presented the conveted Bronze Medal Awards. The Bronze Medal is the one of the highest honorary awards given by the Department to an individual or organization that is nominated for superior and exemplary work. To warrant a Bronze Medal, a significant contribution must focus on qualitative and quantitative performance measures reflected in the Department’s Strategic Plan exemplifying outstanding achievement and excellence in leadership and professional performance. Each recipient was introduced with a brief bio, congratulated and photographed with the Undersecretary and Director Honorable Jon Dudas and the Commissioner. The awards ceremony was followed by a lavish reception.
