First Amplified Home Theater PC Released
Expansion Solutions integrates 1000 Watt amplifier into HTPC, providing the next step in PC/Audio convergence

Springfield, IL First HTPC Launched With Integrated Audio Amplifier.
The new Media Center is being offered by Expansion Solutions, which believes it is the next step in the convergence arena.
Customers will be able to watch DVDs, listen to CD or archived audio and watch television in 5.1 stereo sound.
The Empire Series works as the TV Tuner, the CD player, the DVD player, the internet ready PC, and the source for amplified audio. Audio outputs are rated at 125 Watts into 8 ohms, on par with many surround sound systems currently used in the home.
James Bantner, President of Expansion Solutions, said the system would "push the industry forward in convergence."
"We understand that many home theater enthusiasts appreciate that they can replace multiple components with the Media Center PC, and wanted to provide the next logical step the replacement of the amplifier." Bantner said.
