June 20, 2005 (Press Release) --
They say writing a book is like having a child, but what happens when you cast your own children in a novel? Why, put them up against an evil sorcerer, Cyclopes, ogres, and grant them the power of magical dragons, of course.
When Ricky and Alyssa Randall are given a mysterious statue of a crying imp from an old man at a magic shop, they are swept away to the land of Great Germaine, which is under the threat of the evil sorcerer Balthazar. Only when their bodies merge with two friendly dragons can they embark on a quest to rid Great Germaine of evil and save the people of this far off world.
In a world looking for the next Harry Potter or Disney-like excitement, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say Keith Gouveia’s storytelling will take him far. Children of the Dragon, though it can be read by adults, is written for the young ones and those young at heart. With his clear writing style and his vivid imagination, you cannot help but be taken to whatever world he leads you.
Written for his kids, Gouveia’s Children of the Dragon is a fairytale, an adventure story and heartwarming tale of family, friendship and what it takes to triumph over insurmountable odds. Even clumsy ogres.
Children of the Dragon is available through all major US bookstores, online retailers and specialty retailers like Projectpulp.com
