June 25, 2005 (Press Release) --
(QUINTESSENTIAL CAREERS: DeLand, FL) - Katharine Hansen, of Quintessential Careers, DeLand, has completed a rigorous credentialing process to become a Master Resume Writer, as approved
by Career Masters Institute (CMI) http://www.cminstitute.com/.
The Master Resume Writer designation places Hansen in an "elite group of career practitioners who are committed to professionalism and dedicated to continuous learning," said Beverly Harvey of Beverly
Harvey Resume & Career Services, Pierson, FL, who is credentialing master for Career Masters Institute. Harvey noted that Hansen is only
the 11th Master Resume Writer worldwide and one of only six career professionals to hold both CMI's Credentialed Career Master and Master Resume Writer designations. "Kudos to you for such a huge accomplishment in your first five years in business," Harvey said.
In addition to her role as creative director for Quintessential Careers, Hansen is principal resume and cover-letter writer for
Quintessential Resumes and Cover Letters, which prepares career-marketing documents for clients worldwide.
To earn the Master Resume Writer credential, Hansen submitted a portfolio of her best resumes and took the Career Masters Institute's
Business Writing Program and Exam. She was also required to have been a resume writer for a minimum of five years.
The Master Resume Writer (MRW) designation, according to the CMI Web site, "was created to acknowledge and credential those individuals
who have reached the top tier of the resume writing industry by demonstrating their expertise in resume writing, resume strategy
development and execution, and creative resume design and production." When hiring a resume writer, the Web site states, clients who choose a Master Resume Writer will "know that they've
hired the 'best of the best.'" The Web site also notes that Master Resume Writers are:
* "Professional resume writers who have clearly distinguished themselves at the top tier of the resume-writing industry."
* In possession of "a credential that truly assesses unique resume-writing knowledge and expertise."
* Writers who have demonstrated an "excellent command of the English language and grammar."
* Part of "a community of the top resume writers worldwide."
Lecturer in business communication for four years at Stetson University, DeLand, FL, Katharine Hansen has taught the writing of
resumes and cover letters and critiqued the career-marketing correspondence of countless job-seekers. She also is editor of QuintZine, a free career and job-hunting newsletter filled with
timely and topical tips for springboarding careers. Hansen is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in organizational
communication from Union Institute and University, Cincinnati, OH.
Earlier this year, Hansen also renewed her credentials as Certified Electronic Career Coach, issued by the Professional Resume Writing
and Research Association (PRWRA), and Credential Career Master, from Career Masters Institute (CMI).
