What is Dolphin Dice?
Object of the game
The object of the game is to get as high score as possible. You can compete with Dolphin Dice players around the world with the global highscore table, where you can upload your highscore at any time. In the beginning you have 60 rolls. You have to use these rolls wisely, or else you have no rolls to use in the end.
A turn
On the first roll of your turn, you must roll all six dice, then on the second and third and so on, you may roll any or all of the dice again. When you're happy with the roll, you have to select a category for the score. If you select a category which will give zero points the game will not write it down. Look for a little white circle to the right of the category buttons, it recommend which category to select considering the current dice.
Scoring
The first six categories are Ones, Twos, Threes, Fours, Fives and Sixes. When selecting one of these categories, your score is determined by the number of dice which have the same number showing as the category name. For example: a roll of 2, 5, 5, 5, 4, 3 would score 2 points in the Twos category (one die x 2), or 4 points in the Fours category (one die x 4), or 15 points in the Fives category (three dice x 5).
A BONUS of 100 points can be earned for the score from Ones through Sixes totals at least 84 points (scoring four dice in each of the six categories will add up to exactly 84 points).
One Pair means two dice with the same value (two sixes, etc.). If you get two or three pairs and click on this category, the game will pick the pair with the highest value.
Two Pairs is two pairs of dice (two ones and two fours, etc.). Two pairs with the same value is NOT valid.
Three Pairs is three pairs of dice, where no pair has the same value as another (two threes and two fives and two sixes, etc.).
Three Of A Kind means three dice of any one value (three ones, etc.), and scores the sum of the three dice.
Four Of A Kind means four dice of any one value (four twos, etc.), and scores the sum of the four dice.
Five Of A Kind is five dice of any value (five fours, etc.), and scores the sum of the five dice.
Small Straight is five dice in numerical sequence (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Score is 15 points.
Large Straight is five dice in numerical sequence (2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Score is 20 points.
Full Straight is all six dice in numerical sequence (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Score is 21 points.
