July 1, 2005 (Press Release) --
PREMIER Biosoft International announcs a new release of Array Designer, a comprehensive desktop tool to efficiently design hundreds of specific oligos for cDNA microarrays, expression studies and SNP genotyping. Array Designer efficiently retrieves, analyzes and stores data and for the first time includes the ability to make whole genome arrays and tiling arrays.
With Array Designer you can start with a list of sequences or a whole genome sequence to study the entire organism by detecting every gene or exon in the whole genome, characterizing transcriptomes, conducting chromatin immunoprecipitation-chip (ChIP-chip) studies, discovering differentially and alternatively spliced transcripts, SNP discovery and genotyping, DNA sequence variation in individuals or populations and comparative genome hybridization (CGH).
You can even design tiling arrays to spot every base of a long genomic sequence, avoiding repetitive regions. Designing arrays to characterize regulatory elements, or to study epigenetic modifications, methylation patterns and protein binding sites is made easy with the features provided.
About PREMIER Biosoft International:
Founded in 1994, the company is a group of computer scientists and molecular biologists dedicated to producing cutting edge intuitive software for the molecular biologist. The goal of the company is to study the most recent innovations in molecular biology and translate them into software products that aid biologists.
