July 3, 2005 (Press Release) -- Tiverton, Ontario, Canada & Bayville, New Jersey, July 5th, 2005 – Executives at the newly founded Open Book Press have stated that they are overwhelmed and amazed by the positive response they are receiving from fans and creators worldwide.

The news comes after the fledgling company announced in little more than a month ago that it was offering free information packages to potential creators and writers interested in submitting work. “The response has been tenfold what we expected” says Production Manager Mike Gagnon.

After the May 13th announcement Open Book Press began distributing free packages to would-be writers and pros alike. The package contains the booklet “The Facts About Getting Published”, the book “How To Get Published The Open Book Press Way”, as well as other literature and materials. Response has been so great that the info booklet is now completely out of print. Open Book Press was originally concerned that they may have over printed the booklet, and would be left with boxes to store, now there isn’t a single one left. The company is now discontinuing the info packages temporarily. Any orders received prior to July 1st will be shipped with the material left on hand that is still in print.

The free info packages are just one of many reasons that people are showing interest in Open Book Press. The company is continuously getting a daily stream of mail, e-mail, and submissions. “Our daily correspondence is massive.” says Gagnon. “Fan reaction has been much more positive than we could ever hope for.” He added. Gagnon finished his statement by saying “We really are overwhelmed. We appreciate all of your mail and submissions and ask the public to please be patient as we sort through the stacks of mail, e-mail, and submissions.” The company has stated that they will continue to accept submissions as long as they can handle the work load.

Updated and revised editions of both “The Facts About Getting Published” and “How To Get Published The Open Book Press Way” are being planned for spring 2006.
